FatKidsBrotha – "Last Two Orgy" (Feat. Snubnose Frankenstein & Curtis Williams) [Video]

FatKidsBrotha, the Atlanta duo, dropped "Bang" last month, and I have been excited to hear more cuts from their new mixtape, Eastside Paradise 2, ever since. DavE and Johnny continued to mold their own distinctive sound by meshing the spacey atmosphere of cloud rap and the hyped vibe dominating the clubs. It was highly successful, as the light sythns and organs were transformed into dark foreboding melodies by the ominous drums and thundering hats.

The brothers return today with a brand new video for their latest single, "Last Two Orgy", over a week after the trailer was released online. Once again, FatKidsBrotha manage to create a laid back track, which employs very sparse, but interesting patterned drums, that has a murky feeling to it. Featuring fellow Two-9 member, Curtis Williams, and Snubnose Frankenstein, a frequent collaborator. All four emcees provide interesting perspectives on their success and future, making sure to shout our their haters. Each rapper flow over the production with their own unique style, and taken together they sound as if they could have been a group themselves.

Arttusmus Jenkins captures FatKidsBrotha cruising around on an Atlanta night, a perfect visual accompaniment for the sonic atmosphere of the song. DavE and Johnny are presumably plotting their future, while they take their girls out for a little ride. Curtis Williams and Snubnose Frankenstein are in what looks to be a parking lot, lurking about. Capturing the mischievous aimlessness of the track amazingly, the four emcees come off as a group of youths who may have some bad intentions in mind.

Their mixtape has been pushed back a little bit, but expect to hear it relatively soon. If you haven't had the chance to go through their bandcamp or their soundcloud you should take the extra time to get acquainted with their older music. I'm still excited for their new release, maybe even more now.
