Following his release of sophomore album Kiss Land, Canadian artist The Weeknd has released a sensual and beautifully-composed video to accompany their single “Pretty”. Taking place in Toronto, front-man Abel Tesfaye appears to be headed for a booty-call with a sultry scarlet mistress. What seems like a macabre and sexually-charged interpretation on Sofia Coppola’s film Lost In Translation, “Pretty” takes a turn for the worst and ends in surprise and horror.
Directed by Sam Pilling, “Pretty” is wonderfully directed. Warning, this very not safe for work. Be sure to cop Kiss Land, which was released this month on Republic, and be sure to catch The Weeknd's nationwide tour this fall.
