Filmed in her hometown of Houston, TX, it spotlights an every-day mall setting, colorful movement and lighting, cameos by Bun B and Mannie Fresh, and of course Solange’s signature neo-soul, African percussion-influenced, and synth-filled R&B sound, which you’ll find omnipresent on her EP True, produced by her good friend Blood Orange last November. Solange and the two other co-directors for the video, Peter J. Brant and Emily Kai Blick, teamed up with The Creators Project to make this alluring, high style video that will you have you pressing play over, and over again.
