It is rather peculiar that soul music has made a magnificent comeback lately, but RCA artist Lulu James gives us no reason to complain with her release of "Sweetest Thing". Simple percussion and silk like synths develop a very laid back, easy beat, perfectly arranged with James' lyrics. Although she continues to drop clear-cut R&B Singles, the English born artist still flourishes her brand of futurism, meshing classic soul music with 21st century production value. With this track following "Step By Step" and breakthrough single "Closer", Lulu is set to support Ellie Goulding on some forthcoming dates. Look for the release of "Sweetest Thing" on November 4th.
