In today's world of increased drug problems, violence, and overall turmoil, it's always nice to hear a song that manages to go hard and still invokes a positive message. 24 year old rapper, YJ, has just done that and more with his newest single, "#SPAZZ."
It's obvious that this young man has cultivated an unique flow that manages to highlight influences of neo-soul, while still keeping the tough edge of UK's hip hop scene intact. His rhymes are infectious, and the production is perfect for mass consumption- still grime-y enough for the hip-hop heads but not too hard that people outside of that realm wouldn't be interested.

The visuals for this promote the same positive message. It features him working around the clock in the studio and only accentuates the message that people so often forget: it takes work to be the best. While YJ is still working to build a strong name for himself, his dedication to his craft only indicates greater success as the days go on.
This song will be on the mixtape, Deal or No Deal, will be out soon. His EP, The Message, is a free download on his site.
