It's been about 10 months (too long) since we've heard a new track from the house-inspired and New York City based artist Chris Malinchak, but his latest gem, "So Into You" has proved that both the wait and our withdrawal symptoms from his music have been well worth it. Merging the sounds of two decades, the artist pays respects to the terrific 80's track, "Don't Disturb This Groove" by The System, giving us a taste of the original song's smooth chorus but all the while keeping things lush, tropical-sounding, and progressive. Taking the BPM's down a few more notches than usual, Malinchak showcases soulful vocal samples, evinces soothing synths and, as always, manifests a standout layer of beats.
Malinchak's "If U Got It" and "So Good To Me" tracks, have been featured on Pete Tong's Radio 1 Essential Selection and Essential New Tune broadcasts in the past year and provide the same soulful, ear-gratifying vibes from the artist, who calls French Express his label home. Due to his fairly "under the radar" existence, it's not clear what's next for Chris Malinchak, but one thing that's for certain is, folks are more than happy that he's decided to release a new sound.
