School may be starting up, but summer is not over thanks to Felix Snow's latest release, "This Pool Party Feels Like a Funeral" featuring London-based four-piece, Various Cruelties. "This Pool Party Feels Like a Funeral" is a great change-up from Snow's recent synth heavy production on SZA's "Julia." Snow's organization of a funky bassline, sharp percussion, and lingering piano keys creates an attractive contrast to Various Cruelties' descriptions of "coffins in the water and blood up in the palm trees." This production will certainly get your foot tapping, but his inclusion of Various Cruelties' vocal offering will get you doing that running man dance you've been practicing in your bedroom. Let's hope that Snow and Various Cruelties keep this creative partnership going.
