Earmilk X Electric Zoo: Boys Noize Records & Djedjotronic [Exclusive Mix + Ticket Giveaway]

With New York city as a cultural centre of North American electronic music, it’s almost a surprise that a large-scale outdoor event took until 2009 to set its roots. Still, with the challenges of the urban jungle, the grassy knolls of Randall’s Island provided a much-needed oasis for eager festival goers.

In a few short years, Electric Zoo has seen enormous growth, from a humble two-day experiment to a three-day end-of-summer festival staple. This year the Zoo is expanding to a second main stage to pack in even more top talent, but the most intriguing lineup notes appear under the variety of tents. Rather than just sticking to similar sounds, organizers Made Event give total lineup curation to a number of leading labels, including Fool’s Gold, Drumcode, and Dim Mak. After a year of touring together, label heads and Dog Blood frontmen Skrillex and Boys Noize have joined forces to showcase OWSLA and Boysnoize Records under one banner, with an eclectic lineup from both teams. We’re offering up an exclusive mix from Djedjotronic, set to take the stage at Electric Zoo 2013, right when things will be getting heavy. On top of this, we are giving away 2 Friday GA ticket's to Electric Zoo, so enter below and refresh the page if you don't see the contest.

While Djedjotronic is no newcomer to BNR feature stages, what he’ll play is anyone’s guess. With heavy percussion and sub-bass, the bouncy mix will keep feet moving with minimal techno and the odd distorted bit of electro, featuring sounds from French labels like Ed Banger and Sound Pelligrino as well as label mate Scntst. After circling the European festival circuit with appearances at Pukkelpop, Sonar, and I Love Techno, this will be his first Electric Zoo appearance, but certainly not his last.
