Continuing its massive 10 year anniversary celebration, Toolroom Records has released another remix package that pays homage to its head honcho, UK house producer Mark Knight. With the original mix of “Downpipe” released by Knight, D. Ramirez and Underworld back in 2009, the three new remixes of the track feature appearances from the world’s top DJ Armin van Buuren, Argentinian techno veteran Adrian Hour and UK up and comer Bontan. Not only does this EP help to mark the 10 years of accomplishments from Toolroom, but it welcomes the first collaboration between Toolroom and Armin van Buuren. Van Buuren’s remix, crowned the “tune of the week” on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1, brings some old school progressive and big room energy to “Downpipe.” With Adrian Hour and Bontan’s diverse updates as well, this EP is another success for the Toolroom history books.
