The Weeknd has blessed us with the second single off of his debut studio album Kiss Land. Scheduled for a September 10 release, Kiss Land has already gained some major momentum thanks to the release of the lead single of the same name. On "Love In The Sky," The Weeknd continues to build upon themes of love, alienation, drug use, and life on the road through the lyrics "As for me I've been getting old/As for me, I've been flying on the road/I've been killing these shows/But I'm always getting high 'cause my confidence low/And I'm always in a rush/Ain't no time to f*** slow." This type of songwriting is an excellent complement to the instrumental, which seems to be divided into two parts: the first half spacious and, at times, grandiose, while the latter half trails off to the sounds of a thunderstorm. It is during this "storm" that The Weeknd makes his confession. Listen below.
