808 heavy-weight Addison Groove partners up with fellow UK producer Sam Binga, creating the 28th release off of Modeselektor’s 50Weapons imprint. BS3 EP left a significant impression upon my first listening as it includes one of the most interactive songs I’ve heard in a while. The track “11th” presents a dizzying dose of chronic sounds that swing their way through a labyrinth of drums and edgy melodies. Its fast-paced and evolving effects that coast over the beat’s underlying pulse create a fun and radiant sound that pulls through the song entirely unbothered. In typical Groove & Binga fashion, the hard to classify genre-blending approach is in full-effect here and it sure is enticing.
Needless to say, the BS3 EP works as an extension of similarly fun twists that are well-worth the listen! So grab your copy and be ready for a bouncy groove.
