If 2013 is a story of death to genres, DJ Snake should have his own chapter. The French producer blew onto everyone’s radar with the infectiously fun festival hit “Bird Machine,” and most recently has been on a production binge with remixes of Kanye West and Duck Sauce. While his forte may be to turn beats on their heads and deliver some of the wackiest sounds imaginable at a two-step speed, his latest remix hugs a more soulful curve, taking on British vocal duo AlunaGeorge with the single “I Know You Like It.”
With deep echoes on the toplines and playful snaps carrying the beat, the track pulls in old school house melodies with the cock-and-load power of trap drums.
