Like any well established label, producers flock to Anjunadeep to add their names to the impressive list who have worked with the label and add the impressive accomplishment to their resume. Today the label released the fifth edition of the fruits of its A&R labor, and curating the artists who do make it through to get signed. Successfully differentiating itself from other deeper sounding industry leaders, Anjunadeep 05 is a compilation communicating that unique brand that the label has established for itself: soulful, funky tracks that don't need to rely on bass to get them attention. With two discs mixed by label boss James Grant and 20-year veteran Jody Wisternoff, volume 5 is a ray of sunshine in what can sometimes be a darker world of deep house.
