Epic Records Oakland based band Wallpaper offers us a track from their upcoming album Ricky Reed Is Real which comes out July 23rd. The brainchild of the Oakland based rapper Ricky Reed. Alongside Reed the band consists of Arjun Singh, Tom Peyton, Derek Taylor, and vocalist Novena Carmel (daughter of soul-R&B legend Sly Stone). Initially receiving acclaim from MTV's Hype music and placements on the network's shows their popularity led to them inking a deal with Epic Records.
The blend of pop,rap, and a little soul gives the band an ability to appeal to the masses. Their new song "Lets get away with it" is a great song for the summer; the acoustic guitar and calming lyrics are reminiscent of a song that would be played by the beach or during a camping trip. The band is currently on the Vans Warped tour, stream their new song below and look out for them if you plan on heading to the Warped tour.
