B. Dolla, a young producer from the DC area, is an architect of both hip-hop and EDM gems. He has a fresh take on music, often remixing classic rap songs and expertly fitting them with more electronic feels. His latest record, “Headhunter,” is some of his best work yet, incorporating a rather innovative chop of Herbie Hancock’s “Watermelon Man” into a plethora of sounds with EDM flair. The song effortlessly transitions from groovy to trappy in an instant, but maintains its funk throughout. It’s impossible not to move listening to this near perfect, and seamless, blending of styles and genres. Check out the song below and be on the lookout for more music from this up-and-coming talent.
