B. Dolla, a young producer from the DC area, is an architect of both hip-hop and EDM gems. He has a fresh take on music, often remixing classic rap songs and expertly fitting them with more electronic feels. His latest record, “Headhunter,” is some of his best work yet, incorporating a rather innovative chop of Herbie Hancock’s “Watermelon Man” into a plethora of sounds with EDM flair. The song effortlessly transitions from groovy to trappy in an instant, but maintains its funk throughout.
