Is there anything Peaking Lights can't strap a rocket to? This time around, the Wisconsin-based duo (whose 2012 Lucifer is back on rotation now that it's hot and hazy) take on the new single from Australian band World's End Press. True to form, Peaking Lights mutate the punchy new wave jam into something that lives, breathes, and surges over seven blissful minutes. Cut apart from the rest of the lyrics, the line "seek elevation when and where I can" becomes a command more than a passing remark. There's nowhere to go but up in here.
