The ever so talented and youthful Canadian duo Paris & Simo have teamed up with mashup extraordinaire 3LAU to bring the people an uplifting and heartfelt progressive tune on Revealed Recordings.  While the song is simplistic in its musical structure and style, I still find it to be one of the most beautiful and harmonious tracks that I have heard in a while. After many months in the making, the wait has definitely paid off. The combination of an authentic and uptempo progressive melody layered with Heather Bright's catchy chorus makes this the tune of the summer. For Paris & Simo this collaboration only further solidifies that they are the next big thing to hail from the great country of Canada. I find their production skills to be masterful and their ability to be multifaceted when devising new and innovative sounds to be a trait that is quite difficult to find in the dance music industry. As for Justin Blau (3LAU) this track marks a very proud and pivotal moment in career as he now switches from a celebrated career of making mashups to producing originals. I believe being as patient as Justin has been has only benefited his sound design and production quality, so big kudos go to him. To conclude, Paris gave me a brief statement on "Escape" stating, " I really do not know what to say, but that it took us 10 months of tweaking until we were finally happy." While the statement may not seem substantive to the average eye, it goes to show you the tremendous amount of effort, innovative thinking, and editing that the aforementioned artists poured in to create this track, which is quite outstanding. Congratulations to Paris & Simo, 3LAU, and Bright Lights for starting out our summer just right with such a great jam!
