Everyone at some point in their life is sure to have uttered these infectious words, “All I wanna do is pew pew pew pew and a ca-ching, and take ya money,” I know I have (more times than I’d like to admit.) I have been an avid fan of M.I.A ever since hearing “Paper Planes” and she has yet to disappoint me, releasing bangers like “Bucky Done Gun” and “Jimmy.”
Fresh of the press is her latest release, “Bring The Noize.” The hook says bring the noise, and bring the noise she did. A fast up-tempo beat, accompanied with hyper-chopped and screwed vocals lend this track to what is sure to be a regular in summer nights playlists everywhere. At times her vocals remind me of Die Antwoord’s South African bad-ass Yolandi Visser and it just makes me love this track that much more. Bring The Noize is one of many tracks that will be on M.I.A’s fourth album, Mantangi, which is set to release this fall.
