Another day, another huge Earmilk.com competition. This time we’re headed out west to the Calgary Stampede’s premier electronic music festival Badlands 2013. We partnered Wavo.me to give one up and coming DJ to play one of Western Canada’s biggest festivals alongside Kaskade, Afrojack, Steve Aoki, Pretty Lights, Adventure Club and Many more. Check out the rules below to enter and spread the word to your friends to see them play in front of thousands!
The winner of the contest will be getting a ton of exposure from Earmilk and Wavo including a featured chart and full artist editorial so include originals, bootlegs and edits if you have them! You’ll be chilling backstage with some of the biggest guys in the business so be sure to give us your best and most creative mix.
PROCESS
- Record a mix (45 minutes MINIMUM)
- Include bootlegs, mashups, and originals if you have them
- Upload your mix to youtube or soundcloud
- Submit the mix on the contest site HERE before June 23rd 11:59pm MST 2013
JUDGING
- On June 24th, 10:00am MST voting will be opened on the contest app and promoted by Earmilk, Badlands and Wavo.
- 5 of the top 10 will be based on how many votes the post can accumulate before 11:59pm on July 1st, 2013.
- The other 5 of the top 10 will be judged by an Earmilk panel looking for originality, creativity, and overall effectiveness in the mix.
- Priority will be given to the mixes that include quality original productions and tracks from the artists performing at Badlands.
- The Badlands judging panel will then take all 10 mixes and choose the winner.
- The winner will be announced July 2nd, 2013.
PRIZE
- The winner will play a set at Badlands Music Festival in Calgary, Alberta and receive two VIP backstage passes for the artist and a friend.
- The winner will receive a full artist feature post on Earmilk.com prior to the festival to build up some hype for the artist.
WINNER NOTIFICATION
- The winner will be notified on July 2nd through an email addressed from Earmilk or Badlands.
- Winner will have 2 days to respond to email. Failure to respond will constitute grounds for disqualification, in which case the 2nd place contestant will be notified.
- Winner must provide to arrange their own transportation and accommodations.
- Winner must live in British Columbia or Alberta and be 18 years or older.
- Ground transportation and accommodations are NOT included.
