In one rather delightful day, Toro Y Moi's remix of Disclosure surfaces, along with this remix of one of his own songs. One of Ninja Tune's finest, Drew Lustman a.k.a. Falty DL, switches up "Rose Quartz", one of the stand out tracks from Toro Y Moi's Anything in Return album.
The New York producer takes what was originally a slow building take on electrofunk to create a more moody, garage-focused rhythm. Lustman again captivates us with a tune that bears resemblance to those off his latest album, Hardcourage, but keeps intact the chilled feel of the song that it derives from. Only slight hints of the original can be heard, with snippets of Toro Y Moi's smooth vocals fitting in well with Lustman's flowing, jazz-influenced sound.
