Newton, Massachusetts native Cam Meekins links up with rising rapper producer Brandun Deshay for their new single "Advil". The production from Brandun stays consistent with some notable placements he has had of late including Chance The Rapper and Joey Bada$$. Outside of these two artists he has produced for a number of 2011 and 2012 hip hop Freshman. He also worked the Odd Future camp in the early days', connecting with each other over My Space.The two have a surprise show in New York this thursday at the Knitting Factory so they released a joint song as a toast to this great occasion. The two effortlessly complement one another and give the track its feel good organically constructed sound. Cam Meekins recently signed with Giant/Atlantic records which is an impressive accomplishment for any artist especially after a near death accident. Cam nearly bled to death after a jet ski accident a few years ago, this accident is credited with giving him the extra motivation he needed to pursue music more seriously. These guys have made things extra easy– listen to their new song then buy tickets to their show on thursday. Doesn't get any simpler than that.
