Hard to believe Robin Thicke has been dispensing sensually seductive, tantric soul for the better part of a decade now. It’s also equally hard to believe that it has been two years since his last full length, Love After War. After an eventful hiatus that included a stint on BET’s Real Husbands of Hollywood, Thicke makes a triumphant return to music, enlisting help from the two Hottest MCs in the Game (according to MTV), Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz, on his latest release “Give It To Me.” The song, produced by Will.I.Am., sounds a bit dubstep inspired with slightly raunchier content than we’ve come to expect from Thicke, but there’s still the same patented falsetto and sex appeal. No word on when to expect a new album yet or what that album will be called. Be on the lookout. Until then, vibe out to this.
