In celebration of hitting the 4 million play mark on his Soundcloud, Ta-Ku released this track titled "Handful" on April 23 in connection with Soulection. As the Perth, Australia-based electronic producer says himself, "Soulection is the family, Time in Between is the compilation".
Ta-Ku's been killing it lately, most specifically with his 60-minute Boiler Room set in Los Angeles, which was broadcasted March 26. His fusion of hip-hop and downtempo/ambient qualities counteract the prominence of trap-like percussion, while the synths are hard at work. The incorporation of electronic feedback blares with the overblown bass line, catapulting this track into a place of surprising variety in few minutes time.
This is why we love Ta-Ku oh so dearly.
