Welcome to Week 49 of The Club. We're still in the midst of the busiest time of year for dance music releases, so we've got a lot to share with you. This week we're bringing you a bit of an expanded version, with some exploration into house and trance to add to your weekend playlist. A big thank you to James Ledger for his help this week!
Wolfgang Gartner Feat. Medina
Overdose
Ultra
UL3648
Remember Deadmau5's remix of Medina's “You & I”? Well, if there's one thing that surprised me today, it's that Wolfgang Gartner has produced a track that, somehow, sounds similar. The track, “Overdose,” contains those typical Wolfgang synths that are unmistakably his signature sound, yet the soothing vocals of Medina and the progressive house overtone from the American veteran, have made this release feel familiar. Released on Ultra Music, the quality is exactly what you'd expect from a producer of Wolfgang's experience. It's easy-listening, yet continues to uphold the typical Gartner groove that we've come to be familiar with. If you loved the mau5's remix of “You & I,” you'll love this. .

Hard Rock Sofa & Dirty Shade
Collapsar
Spinnin'
SP631
No strangers to the spotlight, Hard Rock Sofa team up with Dirty Shade to give us "Collapsar." Previewed back in February and recently played at Ultra in Miami, the track is now available through Spinnin' Records. Although probably not enough to top their last release "Rasputin," it certainly gives it a run for its money. Gritty, festival-appropriate and eletro productions are what we've come to expect over the last few years from these two Russian duos (especially Hard Rock Sofa) and this release is no different. Released a couple of months before the festival season really starts to kick in, this track will no doubt be making an appearance all over the place this summer. If you're not new to Spinnin', you'll know what to expect on this one. If you're new, welcome.

Alvaro & Quintino
World in our Hands
Spinnin'
SP644
“World In Our Hands” by Alvaro & Quintino might just make those who aren’t fans of the recent trend in electro house convert. Out on Spinnin' Records, the beautiful female vocals perfectly intertwine with the duo's energy to bring another solid release out of the Netherlands. Making their debut as a duo on United with Tiesto, it doesn't seem that the absence of the veteran has made any difference to their production quality: with seriously euphoric synths so prominent, they’re what makes this track. Although the break brings energy and would no doubt smash any festival, the vocal loops and melodic upswings are what makes “World In Our Hands” worth getting your hands on. .

Martin Volt & Quentin State
Persia
Wooha!
UL3648
Out on WooHa! Records, Martin Volt and Quentin State's “Persia” ticks all the boxes required in before becoming a progressive house anthem. Coming off great success on their their previous release “Fugitive” that was featured on Hardwell's Revealed Recordings Pres. Miami 2013 compilation, this track has already gained support from the likes of Tiesto, Hardwell and Arty since its release earlier this week. “Persia”'s uplifting synths, in sync with its huge builds contribute to create a track that’s both typically arranged but extra beautiful.
