Boys Noize – "XTC" (The Chemical Brothers Remix)

Last week we heard the Justice remix of “Ich R U”, one of the featured tracks off of Boys Noize Records’ 100th release that drops this coming Monday. Today we have the pleasure of listening to the full stream of The Chemical Brothers’ remix of “XTC”, a mind-blowing re-imagination of the electro house staple that came out last fall.  The British duo of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons start with some percussive wood blocking, adding expansive, brooding chords that suddenly cut off before a drop hits you with incredible force. What’s also enjoyable: the drop coincides with a climb through levels of ever-rising synth. Check out the Miami Noize 4 release for more good electro times, and, if you haven’t already, be sure to watch Don’t Think, the live performance of The Chemical Brothers from the 2011 Fuji Rock Festival.
