Around this time last year, Orlando-bred indie folk quintuplet premiered "Bone and Bloody" from their EP, Animal Noise, on Earmilk. Today, these southern boys called Day Joy released a music video for "Go To Sleep, Mess" from their upcoming album set for February 12th via Small Plates Records. The album will be their very first full length and from the works of their last beautiful EP, we are all in high anticipation for what's next.
Day Joy's music video for "Go To Sleep, Mess" is slightly over four minutes of despair. The story follows a grown man and young boy, capturing bits of their lives and personal struggles. As if Michael's (lead singer) heartache wasn't already conveyed through his emotive words and overwhelmingly passionate voice, the directors Michael Lawrence and Alex Amoling use this video to pull you to another sorrowful depth of reality. Sad.
