In 2009, Ying Yang Twins producer A-Styles and Charlotte Bobcats DJ Complete linked up and started making music together. They made beats for the Ying Yang Twins, BoneCrusher, Fabo from D4L, Da Musicianz and more. In 2011, they decided to stop making music strictly for other people, and formed the DJ/producer duo Styles & Complete.
Ever since their inception, they have spread their brand of "DirtySouthElectroSwag" across the EDM world. It infuses elements of crunk, filthy electro house, dubstep, and also elements of trap to create a downright-dirty-yet-driving sound.
Just to educate you on the difference between a "remix" and a "bootleg," a remix is a song that has been broken down into what we call "stems" in the production world. That means that each instrument or piece of the original track is broken down so that a remixer can manipulate each part seperately. This makes for near infinite possibilities.
A bootleg, however, is a rework made from the entire original track. It cannot be dissected, therefore there are fewer possibilities. It takes a lot of meticulous work to make a bootleg seem like a remix. Styles & Complete proved their technical skills with this one by producing a completely new-sounding track that still retains the anthem-stylings from Avicii and Nicky Romero. Buckle your seat belts, this one get a little rough.
