Australian DJ and producer Wax Motif first caught my attention at the beginning of 2012 with his stunning remix of Oliver’s “Dirty Talk.” Today he has just released a stellar track via Mixmash Records –the same label that brought recent hits “Yeah” by Ansol and Dzeko & Torres and “Get Wild” by John Dahlback – entitled “Never Fall Again.” Unique noises ring throughout, like a subtle woodblock, a wonder-filled circulating synth, and a mesmerizing grind. All of this piles onto the perfect progressive house attributes of a dreamy break and massive climbs, creating quite a ride. Madame Buttons (aka Kelly Sheehan) supplied the vocals, and seems to be making her way into the house arena with other collaborations, like Cazzette’s “Beam Me Up.” All-in-all it’s a solid production and one that will be sure to please the festival crowds. Oh, and if you like what you hear, check out the mix Wax Motif did for the release over here for a full hour's worth of enjoyment.
