Cerrone is a French DJ and percussionist and arguably the best in the game in disco house. Originally released on his greatest hits album back in October which featured huge collaborations with other French house powerhouses like Bob Sinclar and Armand Van Helden,"Misunderstanding" has been remixed and updated for the dance floors with a bit of a big room edge thanks to A-Trak and Codes.
Keeping the funky disco lines in tact, this one is worthy of a head bob or two (if you can control yourself). A-Trak shows his impressive ability to morph between genres, by being decisive and sparse about where to switch up the track. But if we know one thing about A-trak, it's that he knows a good groove when he feels one. And here the result is so fantastic and classically French disco house it's exciting; especially coming from an artist stepping outside his own style into a genre that at times can seem so insular.
