Alt-J is a British indie pop band who are snowballing their way into the spotlight as of recently. Their debut album An Awesome Wave was released several months ago, snagging them the prestigious Mercury Prize. Formed in 2007, Alt-J has come a long way in a short period of time. This quartet's music is quite quirky at first listen, but it is unusually approachable no matter what your musical background and tastes are. Just recently, they released an official music video for their track "Fitzpleasure", which is off of An Awesome Wave. The track incorporates rock bass, pop, and that indie-rock quirkiness that makes them so unique. Along with the distinctive vocals, it's easy to realize why these guys are on the way to making it big. And fast. The video below is rendered in black and white, and seemingly depicts clips of random and unusual situations with a subtle supernatural taste to them. You can't help but make sense of obscurities.
