Lana Del Rey – "Ride" (MJ Cole Remix) [Premiere]

Today we've got a Lana Del Rey remix premiere of Ride from one of the godfathers of UK Garage MJ Cole.  A classically trained musician ( he played piano on BBC Television's Young Musician of the Year programme) Mj quickly turned to the dark side of computers and turntables, seduced by the Drum & Base sound,  before eventually moving onto, and innovating, 2 step and UKG.

MJ takes Lana Del Rey's lush american ballad and strips it down into a frenectic  late-night dancefloor piece.  Rey's vocals echo and stretch eerily over bouncy synths and  an ADD beat — Its a strange mix that you wouldn't expect to work but somehow comes together into a perfect heady concoction.

The Born To Die Paradise edition drops Nov 8th and you can pre-order now on itunes
