If you aren't familiar with 22-year-old Queens native Julian Stephen now would be a good time to wake up and get well acquainted with the promising young rapper/actor. Hailing from what is considered by a large segment of the hip-hop world as the birthplace of hip-hop and home to names in hip-hop royalty such as Run-DMC and Nas, the up-and-coming rapper is out to make an impact in the ever crowded genre of hip-hop. Never one to sweat the pressure of repping an iconic borough, with his easygoing and energetic lyricism and wit Julian brings a fresh, charismatic style to the table.
With his latest project set to drop later this month, the Queens representative decided to make his formal introduction to EARMILK's readers with the premiere of the official visuals for his new record"Tootise Roll', which the lead single off his upcoming project #AwkwardMoments. Shot and directed by Jiggy Flix and Kino Gailbrath the video has an unmistakable lighthearted theme, and not to mention a female lead that's quite easy on the eyes.
As for #AwkwardMoments, the project will include collaborations with BrandUN Deshay, KE On The Track and Devin Miles among others. With the close of summer quickly approaching the laidback production courtesy of Trox Beats and chill raps found on "Tootsie Rolls" surely will have a place on many End of The Summer playlists.
