Belgian’s fairytale Tomorrowland attracted some of the largest names in the electronic industry, playing to sold-out crowds of almost 200,000 eager revelers. Though almost a month has passed since the festival, it’s memory lives on in a new collaboration between Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike and Yves V titled, “Aftermath.” Released after DVLM received an astounding 600,000 fans on their Facebook, the track already boasts a long list of support, from house veteran Bob Sinclar to trance master Markus Schulz. Beginning strong with a tribal drumbeat, a staccato ascending synth line rises from the depths, luring the listener to an ethereal plane of lightness. Before you know it the sub-bass has hit, and back down into the tribal underworld you go…
Hopefully this will tide you over till their next release, “Loops & Things,” out September 16th on Doorn Records. If not, you can catch Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike in the USA during the last half of September and early October, while Yves V has a number of shows coming up in Belgium. Plan your vacations accordingly.
