Logic - "My Chain" (Prod. 6ix)

Amidst Logic's lucrative year thus far -- getting over 250,000 downloads from his April release of Young Sinatra: Undeniable, selling out shows throughout all while participating in Tayyib Ali's tour with Visionary Music Group -- he still writes and records impressive tracks. The Maryland artist teams up with his RattPack producer 6ix, takes samples of Kanye West's "Barry Bonds" and Gucci Mane's "My Chain" and releases his newest track "My Chain".

The greatness of this song can be attributed in part to 6ix who takes two classic songs and twists them with Logic's versatility, chopping the beat and hitting some melodies as well, making this a classic Logic track. In seeking to achieve his dream of becoming a Young Sinatra, Logic includes one of Frank Sinatra's infamous quotes to the start the song off, a move that shapes the entire tone of the track. The piano rides out smoothly as Logic taps into his personal life and ambitions, making for a deeply real and very optimistic lyrical masterpiece. Give Logic's newest number "My Chain" a listen and let us know if you agree.

damn - really blows me away that Logic and "6ix" would blatantly steal a beat like this one.
