Good People, the mysterious duo out of Toronto, have just dropped their debut album exclusively through EARMILK called Afterhours. I couldn't think of a more fitting title for this 8 track journey that takes us through so many emotions that it would be useless to try to classify the release within a genre. Its not dance music, but at the same time, you can't help but bounce around in your seat throughout parts of the album. Most tracks feature the swooning vocals of one half of the group, while on instrumentals like Far Away, the production behind and originality really take hold.
Have a listen to the first 7 tracks, then sit back for Chill Pad Deluxe, as the duo goes 'unplugged', putting an emphatic ending to an incredibly versatile album. This is one of those rare albums that you can find a song for any mood, any environment; whether your in a room full of strangers or in bed with your girl or guy, this debut release from Good People has a track for everything.
