Poolside – "Only Everything"

The L.A. duo of Filip Nikolic and Jeffery Paradise, also known as the masterminds behind Poolside, have been making quite a splash as of late. Fresh off the release of their debut LP Pacific Standard Time (July 9th on Day & Night Recordings) and a remix of Matthew Dear's "Her Fantasy", the band continues their musical output through a collaboration with Scion Audio Visual.

For those unfamiliar with the band, Poolside offer listeners their take on a chilled out "daytime disco", inspired by, and created for those lazy days of lounging by the pool where your greatest concern is who will refill your margarita. For their partnership with Scion AV, Poolside created two new songs–"Only Everything" and "Take a Chance"– both primed and ready for those leisurely sun-soaked afternoon playlists.

Equipped with a funky bassline, retro synths, and a gleaming tropical aura, "Only Everything" is a slice of disco revivalism, fully prepared for consumption in the 21st century. If you enjoyed Pacific Standard Time, these tracks should feel right at home. Both "Only Everything" and "Take a Chance" are worth a listen, and if you enjoy, Scion is offering them as a download for the price of an email address.
