Having shared their first single "Banished" back in February of this year, Jneiro Jarel and DOOM are still a month away until they deliver JJ DOOM debut, Key to the Kuffs, but the duo have gracefully supply another track to hold us over until then titled "Guv'nor."
While the track plays slightly more chill than the fast-rapping "Banished," Jarel has the masked villain rhyming paranoid bars over his is utterly hypnotic guitar-loops beat. The record just screams out that classic hip-hip vibe with the villain twist of course which got us get anxious to hear what this duo have under their belt.
Keys to the Cuffs is out August 20 via Lux Records, and will feature contributions from Damon Albarn, Beth Gibbons of Portishead, and Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood on“Retarted Fren”, a track we first heard last year.
