The Brooklyn-based group known as Flatbush Zombies just dropped their highly anticipated mixtape, D.R.U.G.S, which stands for "Death and Reincarnation Under God’s Supervision." Known for their horror-theme lyrical content to death rappers like Necro but perhaps less explicit, they have generated a steady buzz on the inter-web through videos like "Thug Waffle" and " S.C.O.S.A."
On the 16-track tape, emcees Zombie Juice, Meechy Darko and their in-house producer Erick Arc Elliot have created a chilled-out project with limited guest appearances from Kilo Kush and vocalist Kaya. Expect nothing but the Flatbush throughout the 16-track project. It's amazing how the zombies bring a raw and abrasive sound, but matched with the creativity in their lyricism and their aversion to the normal in just about every way possible. Download link below.
