A lot of hype has been circulating the airs, as many of us are anticipating great things from The xx in the near future with their impending album drop. In the mean time, they recently gave us the single "Angels" to tide their teeming legion of fans over. Experimental electronic producer Aether, (Diego Chavez) has made a wonderful edit to The xx's latest single.
As you might have already listened to the original track, "Angels" is a very calm piece. Aether steps it up a bit by adding modest effects and beats. At first, I didn't think it added much or improved the song. As time went on, it grew on me to the point where I viewed the rework as equal yet markedly different from the original tune. Regardless, both versions are great tracks made by great artists.
