The 1975 still feel like a bit of secret, an underground band with a cult following that are right on the cusp of being discovered and thrust into the mainstream. Finally, after a few months of cryptic tweets and instragrammed promises, the young Manchester based quartet have announced the details of their eagerly anticipated debut “Facedown” EP. Lead track, “The City” is a perfectly brooding, nocturnal anthem. Fueled by a crunching drum break but defined by its restraint, “The City” flows effortlessly, delivering a bold introduction to this exciting new band.

In the lead up to the EP's August 6th release, The 1975 will be releasing a video for each of the songs on the EP, starting with the title track, “Facedown."
