Wildcat! Wildcat! are a LA based trio that specializes in creating infectious electro-indie that will undoubtedly earworm itself into your mind. Although Wildcat! Wildcat! wasn't conceived until late 2011, the threesome of Jesse Taylor, Michael Wilson and Jesse Carmichael have known each other for fifteen years and have been playing music with each other for much of that time. The band's first offerings to the public were at the beginning of 2012, with the release of the two tracks "Mr. Quiche" and "End of the World Everyday". Producing music that sounds like a concoction of MGMT, Passion Pit, and Local Natives, the band's first tracks exploded onto the scene, casting Wildcat! Wildcat! promptly onto our "Bands to Watch" list. Keeping this momentum going, today the band dropped their latest single "The Chief".

Perhaps the most impressive aspect of Wildcat! Wildcat! is the maturity displayed in the production of their songs. Wildcat! Wildcat! demonstrate the ability to refrain from overindulging on synthesized melodies or the use of the falsetto to the point where they become the focal point of the song. "The Chief" evinces the perfect balance of the aforementioned tools, allowing each to complement the song as a whole. The track glides effortlessly forward, allowing the listener to come along for the trip, at least until a sax solo breaks through its shackles, releasing a wave of energy that propels the song to another level. Enjoy "The Chief" and if you haven't already, listen and download the first two releases.
