They've done it again. Releasing their brand new remix of Savoy and Heather Bright's "We Are the Sun", Big Gigantic is on fire as of late. 2012 has been a big year for Big G when it comes to remixes, and we have been impressed with their work. Big Gigantic, consisting of Dominic Lalli (production/sax) and Jeremy Salken (drums), is growing in fan base by the minute.
Their unique sound stems from the blending of electronic music and live instruments. We had the opportunity to check them out to bring in the New Year in Chicago. We had the opportunity to check them out in collaboration with Gigantic Underground Conspiracy at Summer Camp Music Festival at the beginning of summer, and we are keeping our fingers crossed to check them out again before this year's end.
"We Are the Sun" is a fun, upbeat take on the original. The vocals play a key role throughout the track's duration, and the bass drop about a quarter of the way through truly fits well with the vibe of the track. The combination of these musical forces is nothing short of what was expected upon hitting play. It's a great track and we're thrilled to share it with EARMILK readers.
