The liberation of new music from Childish Gambino continues with a fresh cut from the jack of all trades artist. For his latest effort Gambino enlisted the aid of past collaborator Heems (1/3 of NY trio Das Racist). The soulful sample-based production featured on "Tell Me" sounds more like something you would expect to find on a Heems or Das Racist track, however Gambino sounds right at home spitting bars alongside Heems.
"Tell Me" fits in nicely with the new material we've been hearing from CG. Each new release from CG seems to signals a steady move away from the type of material found on Gambino's debut LP CAMP, as well as an overall gradual evolution of CG's sound and flow.
Enjoy the CDQ track and be on the look out for another CG loosie featuring production from Boi-1da and West Coast spitter Nipsey HuSSle, which is expected to be released later in the week.
