AC Slater – "Little Chronic" [Exclusive Download]

A few days ago I posted an interview with The Captain, and I just can't seem to keep myself out of Trouble & Bass. Sorry, mom, I know you'd prefer I behave, but it's hard to resist the dark side when it sounds like this. I tend to count myself out of most scenes that charter "heavy bass" as their speciality, more drawn to subtlety, but Trouble & Bass have managed to create a heavy-bass-centric scene that feels properly targeted to grown-ups. I can't even be guilty about the pleasure they bring in the way I'm sometimes guilty about digging Rusko, because T&B know how to keep it real. And with summer on the horizon, party-appropriate jams just feel right.

This track, "Little Chronic," is tailor-made for prime party time, mixing a classic rave feel with just the right amount of "jump up" elements. The Sidewinder EP, featuring this track, "Sidewinder," and remixes from Drop the Lime and RacknRuin, came out May 8. Grab "Little Chronic" for download below and pick up the full EP on Beatport.
