Triple threat artist Childish Gambino is back with an unexpected yet welcomed collaboration with TDE's spitter ScHoolboy Q. Despite the tile "Unnecessary", the only thing unnecessary about this track are the Funk Master Flex tags that are prominently featured on it. The recently liberated track is reportedly off of Gambino's upcoming untitled mixtape, and unlike last week's unauthorized leak of "Fuck Your Blog" was officially premiered by Funk Master Flex with CG's consent.
Clocking in at just under three minutes, the track is a bit on the brief side. Gambino and ScHoolboy drop one verse apiece while CG handles the hook. If anything "Unnecessary" is just the type of leak that should further whet the appetites of CG fans as Gambino preps the release of his follow mixtape to his debut album CAMP.
