NC producer/emcee/herbal tea pusher Akello Light hits us off with yet another dope offering. This time it is in the form of the new mini Homewood Drive EP which is produced by Garden Grove beatmaker Depakote. The 3-track EP has a very 70’s-type feel and Akello Light massages each musical note fondly and effectively within the extraordinarily miniature lengths of the tracks. Always brief but never abrupt or lacking in creativity: another thumbs up. And two thumbs up for the freeness!
