After announcing the title and official release date for her upcoming album earlier this week, multi-platinum singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado has released the debut single "Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)" off her forthcoming album The Spirit Indestructible. The album will be Furtado’s first English-language LP since her 2006’s double-platinum album Loose, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, was certified multi-platinum in 32 countries and sold 10 million copies worldwide. The strength of the catchy club-friendly single, co-written by Furtado and veteran Grammy winning hit-maker Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins (who also produced the song), is a hopeful sign Furtado's highly anticipated fifth album will be on par with Loose.
