ScHoolboy Q – Hot 97 Interview [VIDEO]

While in New York, Top Dawg Entertainment/Interscope signee and Black Hippy member ScHoolboy Q sat down with Cipha Sounds and K. Foxx on New York's Hot 97 Morning Show. A lot of times radio interviews are bland, formulaic and distracting mainly due to obnoxious radio personalities who bombard artists with your typical cliché interview questions. However, unlike interviews of that nature this brief interview will likely raise some eyebrows. In the clip, Schoolboy chops it up with the Hot 97 crew about the popularity of drug-influenced production among artists such as himself and Kendrick Lamar, his close ties with A$AP Rocky, and his recent decision to quit codeine and the consequent withdrawal symptoms he's recently been experiencing. One of the more shocking statements in the interview comes towards the end in which the man behind such cuts as "Oxy Music" and "Druggy's Wit Hoes" openly acknowledges that he does not use "hardcore drugs" and is a "fake." Check out the interview so you can hear the comments in their proper context and air out your thoughts in the comment section. If you haven't already, accept your late pass and grab Q's latest independent album Habits & Contradictions available now.
