Continuing the trend for fully kitted-out bands taking a crack at the bass scene, Dub Mafia are now gearing up to release their debut album by dropping a double A – side single titled "Breakneck" and "Danger." Both will be set loose as a free download as of April 16th; in the meantime we got hold of both tracks to stream.
The band hails from Bristol and are a seven-piece outfit fronted by sultry and spine tingling vocalist Eva Lazarus. They've been touring the festival circuit and supporting the like of LTJ Bukem over the past couple of years accruing a swarm of fans along the way.
First track "Danger" is a transport to showcase Eva's acrobatic vocals, whilst slowly building the track from a dreamy liquid beat to something that many Brits would describe as being a straight up "rude rhythm." "Breakneck" is an instrumental track that is set to bring some old school DnB vibes back into the fold, with a heavy stomping bassline that builds throughout the track into a powerful snarling drop that should please all.
